Iran To Launch Large-Scale Military Maneuvers

Neighborhood Watch writ large.
Residents of a section of London have wired their neighborhood with closed-circuit cameras, and have made the feeds for these cameras available for each resident on their televisions at home, making a kind of electronic neighborhood watch program…
Well, they are called “Record” stores.
The The Los Angeles Times laments the fading of the independent record store. I suppose losing another kind of “Mom & Pop”-type shop would be sad, but they are named after a type of media — records — three “generations” of audio back. Since the Long Playing Record, there have been audio tapes, CD’s and MP3′s. If “independent record stores” cannot adapt to the market as it is, then they will fade away, and something better will likely take their place.

Merry Christmas, Michael Newdow.
Here is a great post at RedState by Leon H. wishing Michael Newdow, silly atheist extraordinaire, a Merry Christmas. It is great because Leon does a great job of describing and defining the boundaries between the realms of Self, Neighbor, Church and State, and how puny mortals are always transgressing those boundaries.
