Smithsonian magazine has an article on the potential of biodiesel. I follow articles on biodiesel with some interest, currently being in the diesel industry myself. There is one thing that the article doesn’t tell you, however. Product testing with biodiesel has shown that it corrodes seals and other elastomeric components a lot faster than regular diesel fuel for some reason…
