have determined in a rigorous and scientific way
that each of us has a certain point of view.
(and did you know that the sky is blue?)
Is it really any great surprise,
that we each say what we see with our eyes
This is okay if there is mutual trust.
between dust & ashes and ashes and dust.
But if blind ignorance & hate shout, “Certain doom!”
But Truth & Consequence are not paired off for naught.
How great is the darkness! How great is the gloom!
Oh, and greed has a say, let’s not forget that.
Some pimp knowledge for lucre in the great tit-for-tat.
Bad things can happen when you don’t do as you ought:
Wicked men receive knowledge they never should’ve had,
while good defenders languish and the world goes mad.
Why do some think that killers deserve truth?
Perhaps they haven’t recovered from youth.
From that ideal world where everyone is pure,
where just talking things out makes victory sure.
Well, that “pure” man over there has a bomb on his back,
and just talking to him won’t keep the flack
from sinking into your flesh and spilling your blood
but a well-aimed bullet might nip ‘em in the bud.
The child standing next to you will live another day.
And the freedom you use so well, but who can say?
If liars & cheaters aren’t stopped, and good men don’t act.
The law of the land may just be a suicide pact.
